2. The Patch Work app

No collection by the developer

The app sends us no usage data, no crash reports, no identifiers and no content, neither to us nor to third parties. It contains no advertising, analytics or tracking components from other providers. There is no registration and there are no accounts.

What you create stays with you

Devices, setups, cables and notes live on your device. With iCloud switched on they are additionally synced via CloudKit into your own private iCloud database so that iPad and Mac hold the same state. That database belongs to your Apple ID; the developer has no access to it and can neither read nor analyse it. Apple is responsible for the iCloud service itself, under Apple's privacy policy. If you would rather not, switch iCloud off for Patch Work in the system settings; the app then works purely locally.

Local network

If your setup contains a router, the app can read what is currently switched there. For this the system asks once for local network permission. The app does not browse for devices, uses no Bonjour and scans no network: it connects solely to the IP address you enter yourself, over TCP port 9990, and reads. The only command sent is a keep-alive with no effect on the device. This connection never leaves your network.

App Store

Purchase, download and updates are handled by Apple. Apple determines what data arises there; we receive only aggregated sales figures with no personal reference.

3. This website

Access data

When you open these pages, the web server of our hosting provider — STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany — logs technically necessary access data: the address requested, date and time, the amount of data transferred, the referring page, browser type and IP address. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — the legitimate interest in secure and trouble-free operation. These logs are deleted after a short period and are not combined with other data. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with STRATO.

Cookies

These pages set no cookies and store nothing on your device — no cookies, no local storage, no identifier of any kind. Section 25 of the German TDDDG therefore does not apply: nothing is stored and nothing is read that would require consent. That is why you will find no consent banner here. One asking you to agree to something that does not happen would be misleading.

No tracking, no third-party servers

There are no analytics, statistics or advertising services, no tracking pixels and no third-party components. Everything these pages need — styles, images, icons, the logo — sits on the same server as the pages themselves. Nothing is loaded from Google, a CDN or any other outside machine; your browser contacts no third party, and no third party learns your IP address.

Fonts

These pages load no web fonts, and in particular no Google Fonts. Text is rendered in the typeface your operating system already provides. That is why the site looks slightly different on a Mac than on Windows — and why opening it makes no connection to any font server.

Contact by email

If you write to us, we process your address and your message in order to answer it — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for enquiries about the app, otherwise (f). We delete the message once it has been dealt with and no retention obligation applies. If you attach a backup of your studio, we see only what is in that file and use it solely for troubleshooting.

4. Disclosure

No data is passed to third parties, apart from STRATO as this website's host and processor and Apple as the operator of iCloud and the App Store. No data is sold and no profiles are built. There is no automated decision-making.

5. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). Please write to info@maxecute.de.

You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Ours is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW).

6. Changes

If the app or this website changes, we will update this statement. Last updated: 26 September 2026.
